Position Summary
The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, staffing, financial performance, and facility management of our hyperbaric oxygen therapy clinic. This role ensures efficient, compliant, and patient-focused operations while partnering with clinical and administrative leadership to drive growth and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Strategy
- Oversee day-to-day clinic operations to ensure efficient and patient-centered workflows
- Develop and implement operational policies, SOPs, and performance standards
- Monitor key performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning and growth initiatives
Team Leadership & Management
- Supervise, coach, and support administrative and clinical staff
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and positive workplace culture
- Conduct regular staff meetings, check-ins, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with California labor laws and employment practices
Facility Oversight & Safety
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant clinical environment
- Oversee equipment maintenance, vendor relationships, and facility repairs
- Ensure readiness of treatment rooms and patient areas
- Manage safety protocols, emergency preparedness, and incident reporting
Financial & Business Operations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Monitor revenue, expenses, and operational KPIs
- Coordinate with billing teams on claims and reimbursement processes
- Review financial reports and recommend cost-effective improvements
- Manage vendor contracts, purchasing, and inventory
Patient Experience & Quality Assurance
- Ensure a high standard of patient care and satisfaction
- Address escalated patient concerns promptly and professionally
- Support quality improvement initiatives and compliance audits
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient privacy standards
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.)
- Maintain operational documentation and compliance records
- Coordinate with auditors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly oversees administrative and clinical staff
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of operations leadership experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience with healthcare financials, billing, and reimbursement processes
- Proven ability to manage teams and improve operational performance
- Familiarity with CRM systems, EHR platforms, and workflow optimization
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of California labor laws and healthcare compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in functional medicine
- Experience managing multi-site healthcare operations
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to balance multiple tasks
- Remains calm and supportive in a high stress situation
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- On-site role in a clinical setting
- Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs)
- May involve moving equipment and responding to urgent operational needs
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $125,000 – $175,000 per year (depending on experience)
